Attendance & Punctuality
At Walberton & Binsted CE Primary School, we believe that good attendance and punctuality are essential for children to thrive, achieve well and feel fully part of school life.
We work closely with families to promote positive attendance habits and monitor attendance carefully to ensure that all children are supported to attend school regularly and on time.
If families need support with attendance, we encourage them to speak with the school so that we can work together in the best interests of the child.
Please read our Attendance Policy for further information about school attendance, punctuality, absence procedures and how we support families: Attendance Policy.
You can also read our Attendance Procedures Flow Chart for a clear overview of the steps we take to monitor attendance, work with families to provide support.

Requests for Absence
All absence requests must be submitted using this form so that they can be considered and recorded appropriately. (editable version)
'Under the Weather' Forms
There are times when a child may feel a little under the weather but is still well enough to come into school.
In these situations, parents and carers can complete a short 'Under the Weather' form to let us know how their child is feeling and anything we need to be aware of during the day.
A trusted adult will check in with the child during the day, and if they begin to feel worse, we will contact parents or carers.
These forms are available from the school office. Alternatively, families can provide the same information by emailing the school office before the start of the school day.
